Normalize the commercial model
A low per-GB number may require a large monthly commitment. Record included GB, total charge, billing period, overage rate, traffic expiry, tax treatment, refund conditions, and whether unused traffic rolls over. For an irregular workload, a higher pay-as-you-go rate can cost less than a discounted subscription.
Compare effective cost per usable result
Traffic price does not include the operational cost of retries, unusable responses, oversized browser assets, engineering time, or unsupported locations. Run the same representative test across candidates and calculate total transferred GB divided by successful outputs.
